Top 5 Reasons to Have an Environmental Site Assessment Before Starting Demolition

Environmental Site Assessments (ESA) are normally conducted for several reasons, including land rezoning, property purchase, site redevelopment, and property divestment. In addition, the assessment can be conducted as part of regulatory requirements to enable you to establish the baseline environmental conditions of a site before you start demolishing any existing structures.

Why an ESA is required before demolitions

1.    Understand the site’s environmental condition
An Environmental Site Assessment gives you insight into the history of the site, regarding its past uses, as well as development.
